About Hannah Lehfeldt

Hi!

I am graduating from John Brown University this May, and I’m ecstatic to let y’all know what I’m doing next! My long-term plan is still to become an optometrist. However, instead of going straight into more school, I have chosen to spend a year in a service focused gap year. I want to create space and time to grow in my relationship with God. I pray this year will be a time when He will teach me what it means to practically serve an underserved community.

On that note, I’m very excited to inform y’all that I’ve been accepted to a team-based, full-time, urban missions program for young adults ages 18-30 in Louisville, KY called Love Thy Neighborhood. After a great deal of prayer and discernment, I feel confident this is where God has called me to be next year. I will volunteer at the Shawnee Christian Healthcare Center in the city for 20-30 hours a week. Another 10 hours a week will be spent in neighborhood outreach and an additional 15 hours a week are spent in personal discipleship and church involvement. I will begin this program in September 2023 and finish 11 months later in August 2024.

I’m excited about this opportunity and fully trust in the Lord’s abundant provision, as well as His timing. In order to go, I will need many support partners. If 15 people were to give $25 each month in addition to another 15 people giving $50 each month, I will reach my goal of $11,900 of financial support. This money will go toward the living expenses of my team. I’m asking you to consider partnering with me in this ministry by giving a one time or monthly donation. I would also cherish your commitment to pray for me, my team, and those we will be serving.
